The LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn will be presenting an interactive exhibition titled "Music! Hear, Make, Feel. The Interactive Exhibition" as part of the BTHVN Anniversary Year. The exhibition will start on 21 November 2019 and focus on music as a shared experience: from Beethoven to Beyoncé and reaching from Europe all around the world. A total of 30 interactive stations invite you to listen, make and feel music. You do not have to know how to play an instrument or read music; curiosity for new sounds and experiences is the sole requirement.

There are five key themes filled with ideas, sounds and surprising discoveries. Playfully explore how listening to and making music connects or disconnects us with other people; how music relaxes us; how it helps us to express feelings; how music can even change the world; or how music is just fun.

And what would music be without movement? What is rhythm? How are the movements in the Charleston, hip-hop or ballet expressed and how did one dance during the Middle Ages? The exhibition answers these and many more questions through a combination of priceless original artefacts and the opportunity to actively discover and explore everywhere.

The extensive programme surrounding the exhibition offers an interactive and participative forum for music during the Beethoven Anniversary Year. Musicians and music experts will be present at the exhibition on many of the days, performing live with their instruments and their melodies, but also available for discussions and exchanges on music.

The "Music!" exhibition is an international cooperation project between the LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn, the Museon Den Haag, the Landesmuseum Braunschweig, the Limburgs Museum Venlo and Bruns B.V. Bergeijk. It is promoted by the Beethoven Jubiläums Gesellschaft as part of the extensive anniversary programme within the framework of the BTHVN 2020 celebrations commemorating the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven.
