Pianist, composer and #bebeethoven fellow Kaan Bulak explores the timeless connections between Renaissance music, Byzantine hymns and electro-acoustic art music of the 1990s in a moving chamber music evening. With an ensemble of musicians and specially developed loudspeakers, he reinterprets millennia-old works and combines them with original compositions.

#bebeethoven-Fellow Elisa Erkelenz explores the contemporary music of non-Western cultures.

In Bonn, she presents the Berlin Trickster Orchestra, which unites outstanding soloists from various musical traditions to create a new sound of trans-traditional art music.

The genre-busting compositions are developed in workshops and improvisations. Something new is created in the charming interspace of genres and traditions.

The tumultuous development of music from the Baroque to Beethoven can be heard in a concert at Drachenburg Castle, with examples of orchestra music by Telemann, the Bach sons, Haydn and Beethoven. The EFO Baroque Orchestra (Ensemble Festa d’Orecchi) will provide the musical basis for the concert with a historical performance, moderated by Norbert Alich.

The musicians of the STEGREIF.orchestras are convinced that music can move boundaries, make them more conscious or soften them. Inspired by Beethoven, they combine re-compositions and original excerpts from his ninth symphony with European folk songs. #BFREE is a musical proposal for a European utopia - played by a large orchestra. The final project of the #bebeethoven-Fellow Juri de Marco.

In this special chamber music concert, Beethoven's Fifth Cello Sonata will be performed in juxtaposition with a contemporary work for cello and piano, interpreted by the Brazilian cellist Mattias de Oliveria Pinto and the pianist Risa Adachi from Japan.

"1001 Beats between Bonn and Babylon" (1001 Takt zwischen Bonn und Babylon) is a transcultural music project with a total of 45 interactive offers, workshops and events. It promotes intercultural encounters and social coexistence in diversity by building musical bridges between the Orient and Occident. The focus is on putting together an ensemble of German and “Oriental” musicians, and practicing integration through music.
